Covid-19 Secure measures at The Refinery
We have been working hard behind the scenes to get ready to reopen our doors to the great people of West Bridgford in a safe and secure manner.
Below are some of the measure that we have introduced to ensure that both staff and customers can enjoy their time with us safe in the knowledge that we're doing our utmost to uphold health & safety regulations in the fight against Covid-19.
A full company policy on pandemics and a risk assessment/policy on COVID-19 have been undertaken.
All staff returning to work have completed a 'return to work questionnaire' to bring us up to date on their wellbeing and experience of lock-down thus far. They have also read our company policies and risk assessment as well as being offered the chance to suggest measures they would like to see implemented.
Each member of staff has their temperature checked using an infrared (contactless) thermometer on arrival to the venue before commencement of each shift, this reading is recorded in their calendar diary on that day. If the member of staff's temperature is recorded as 37.8c or higher they will be sent home immediately and recommended to follow NHS guidelines regarding self-isolation and booking a test for Covid-19.
All staff will be provided with adequate PPE should they require it, and those that are susceptible to respiratory diseases will be strongly advised to use these for their own health.
Both front and back of house will increase cleaning methods, and a strong anti-viral disinfectant will be used on all stainless steel surfaces, hard surfaces and any door handles or common touch points that are likely to be touched on a regular basis.
Staff will be working in "bubble rotas" where possible, and rotas will be kept on file in the case that contact tracing is needed.
Before Your Arrival
Pre-booking is strongly advised. This helps us to anticipate the number of staff we will need and how we can allocate booked tables to keep you spaced out and on the best table we can provide for your party size.
Bookings for diners or drinkers can be done via our online table reservation platform on our website home page or by calling us on 0115 9825681.
If you don’t book, we still may be able to accommodate you. Your server will be required to input your details to create a table booking for you upon your arrival.
During Your Visit
On arrival you will be shown to your table and advised to visit our online ordering site where you can order your food and drinks directly to your table with secure payment. It’s nice and easy, but staff will always be on hand to talk you through the process. In the near future our brand new Great Northern Group mobile phone app - ‘GNG Club’ will be launched to replace this, offering a very user-friendly experience for ordering, whilst rewarding customers with redeemable loyalty points and specialised offers.
We will still be offering table service the old-fashioned way for those who have run out of battery or don't own a mobile device, but fundamentally the online ordering has been introduced to both enhance our service, reduce wait times, and on Government advice "reduce the need for too much interaction between staff/customers for those dining/drinking indoors"
Staff and patrons will always be expected to adhere to social distancing (2m or 1m with risk mitigation) while on the premises. Floor stickers and posters will be displayed throughout the venue to remind staff and patrons of this.
Hand sanitiser pump action bottles will be located throughout our venue for the use for both staff and customers. We also have Hand sanitising plinths near the main entrance and the corridor to the toilets.
You may notice we’ve lost a few tables to increase the space between them and to alter seating positions so that customers from different parties will be sat side-to-side or back-to back. This is to help social distancing (2m or 1m with risk mitigation) and to reduce face-to-face contact/transmission between different households.
